Rewards

HOW IT WORKS

On Monday afternoon or evening, there will be a post in the OOC that lists all rewards that have been claimed for that week. To claim rewards for your character, fill out the form below and comment on this post with the form fully completed.

There are several different types of claims that you can make which are listed below:
  • Completed Log: 700 points
  • Posting an OTA Log: 900 points
  • Tagging into OTA Log: 1,500 points
  • Hub Activity: 300 points.
  • Tagged into a TDM starter: 2,000 points

To clarify, each point value is per character you play per claim. Claims can also stack. So for example, if Character A posts an OTA, and that OTA is completed, Character A can claim 1100 points: 600 for posting and 500 for completing the log. If Character A posted a regular planned log with character A-1 and character B, where character A-1 is played by the same mun, that mun is still allowed to claim 500 points for character A while also being able to claim 500 points for character A-1 because they were both involved in that completed log. All claims made on this post are screened, but an example claim can be seen as the first comment.

RULES

There are a couple of rules about claiming points to help keep everything organized and the mods sane.

  • Only claim a thread once. If you have multiple characters in one thread, you can claim the points for every character involved. That being said, if you claim points for posting an OTA with Character A, you can't claim points for posting the same OTA again.
  • Characters can't gift points. You can claim points for different characters, but character 2 cannot give points to character 1. They can use those points to make a claim for a gift that they can give to character 1, but they cannot directly transfer points.
  • Points cannot be combined. Just as points cannot be transferred, they also cannot be combined unless it is for a project. Several different characters can combine points for building products since building is a community effort, but if a character wants a book from home, they cannot use some of their points and some of the points from another character to get it.
  • You are only allowed to submit claims twice a week. You can claim as many logs/hub posts as you like, but you can only submit twice per week. Do not leave several submissions every time you complete a thread. You can add multiple threads to a claim, and if you forget to claim activity you can always add that activity to your claim for the next reward period. The ability to claim previously unclaimed activity does not expire, so if your character has been active in the game for three months and you haven't gotten a chance to make a claim, you can add all three months worth of threads to your links list.
  • Not all logs can be considered complete. To claim a log as completed, it must have a decent wrap up at the end and it must be marked as completed in the header by the original poster. The mods will be looking at each log marked as complete to make sure that it actually closes before rewarding points for a completed log.
  • You must tag an OTA/TDM at least three times before you can claim the tag.Unless the thread closes cleanly in less than three replies, you must have at least three to claim the thread. This is to avoid people from tagging into an OTA/TDM, claiming the points, and leaving the original poster hanging because they only tagged for rewards.
  • Hub threads must have three replies by your character to be claimed. Comments such as 'Okay', 'Nice', and 'Later' do not count.

(*This selection is specific to the appliance and location. If a character gets a microwave or toilet working in the hotel, it will continue to work. However, if the same character moves to a different location and brings the same microwave, it will not work in the new location. A different character could go to the old location and plug in a new microwave, because the electricity would still be working in that specific location/room.)
(**These selections are all self renewable and only need to be purchased once. They can be purchased with points from several different characters across different players, because they can be used by the community as a whole. After that point, the Also Humans will make sure that selection is always readily available without the need to spend extra points. Note that things like gas for generators or trucks will never be self renewable, and can be claimed as a 'character provision'.)
(***These selections can be self renewable, depending on the project. If the first project that these materials are used for is, say a personal home, the character(s) planning to live in that home are the only ones who can put points in and there will only be enough supply given for that home. It will stay this way until the community comes together to purchase the supplies for a group project, such as the hotel, supermarket, etc. After that point, the supplies will be permanently self renewable.)

Please note, we are open to suggestions for rewards, so if you have one, please let us know. We will review and potentially add it to the list!
